Department for International Development (DfID)

DfID is the UK Government Department responsible for promoting development and the reduction of poverty around the world. DfID has provided an ‘Accountable Grant Arrangement’ of up to £6,500,000 through AgDevCo for the Beira Agricultural Growth Corridor initiative.

Norwegian Embassy in Maputo

The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Royal Norwegian Embassy have committed $1,850,000 to InfraCo and AgDevCo, for their Beira Agricultural Growth Corridor.

Dutch Embassy in Maputo

The Netherlands Embassy provided USD 10 million to finance the Catalytic Fund and BAGC Partnership for the next 3 years.

Launched at the World Economic Forum at Davos, the Beira Agricultural Growth Corridor (BAGC) is a partnership between governments, private investors, donor agencies and regional organisations which aims to boost agricultural productivity in Mozambique and the wider region. The Beira Corridor has offices and Maputo and can be contacted through this website.
